Manta Energy offers two VPP options, including the PPA model and the Pool Price & FCAS Pass-through. With the PPA model, customers pay for the energy they consume at rates set for 5+5 years. Rates are set on consumption profile and battery size, and less peak consumption and a larger battery result in a larger discount. Customers own the battery after 10 years, and arbitrage and service payments pay off the battery. With the Pool Price & FCAS Pass-through, customers receive a pool price passthrough, and Manta uses an algorithm to manage the battery. Customers get the direct benefit of arbitrage and FCAS, and they have a mortgage finance arrangement to purchase Solar + Battery. This option carries a higher risk, but it also has a higher potential return.

By joining a VPP, businesses can reduce their electricity costs by generating clean, renewable energy on-site, and a battery can store excess energy for use during times when the solar panels are not producing enough power or when demand is high. Joining a VPP also allows a business to sell excess energy and services back to the grid, further offsetting energy costs.
